The Provost’s Award for Excellence in Doctoral Mentoring, which recognizes outstanding mentors who substantially impact Pitt students seeking research doctorate degrees, held a reception to honor this year's awardees and nominees on March 26 in the O’Hara Student Center First Floor Ballroom.
The honor, presented annually by the Office of the Provost to up to four faculty members, includes a $2,500 prize.
The 2025 recipients are:
• Heidi Donovan, School of Nursing and School of Medicine
• Burcu Savun, Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences
• Vanitha Swaminathan, Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business
• David Vorp, Swanson School of Engineering
