New football coach named

CoachNarduzzi

Pat Narduzzi, who coached the defense at Michigan State and won the 2013 Broyles Award annually presented to the country’s top assistant coach, was named Pitt’s head football coach Dec. 26. He succeeds Paul Chryst, who accepted the head coaching job at his alma mater, the University of Wisconsin.

On Dec. 17, the same day Chryst was introduced as the Wisconsin coach, Pitt announced that athletic director Steve Pederson would be replaced.

Randy Juhl, vice chancellor for research conduct and compliance, is serving as acting athletic director while a search for a new AD is conducted.
