Faculty elect officers, reps

Frank Wilson, a faculty member in sociology on the Greensburg campus, was re-elected for a second term as University Senate president in Senate and Faculty Assembly elections that ended last week. He ran unopposed.

Robin Kear, of the University Library System, was elected as vice president, defeating Seth Weinberg of dental medicine.

Susan Skledar, a faculty member in the School of Pharmacy, who ran unopposed, was re-elected secretary.

The officers’ one-year terms begin July 1.

Newly elected Senate members serve the first year of their three-year terms on the Assembly. After that, they work on both the faculty-only Assembly and on Senate Council.

• University Library System: Tracey Olanyk

Schools of the Health Sciences
• Dental medicine: Elizabeth Bilodeau
• Health and rehabilitation sciences: Mary Goldberg
• Health Sciences Library System: Malgorzata Fort
• Nursing: Richard Henker
• Medicine: James Becker, Abbe De Vallejo, Penny Morel
• Pharmacy: Joshua Thorpe
• Public health: Elizabeth Van Nostrand
