• Global Links Medical Supplies

Wednesday, March 12, 5:30-7:30 pm

Pitt volunteers will be working at the Bloomfield office of Global Links, an international aid organization that collects and repackages surplus medical supplies for distribution worldwide.

• Dog Walking & Cat Cuddling

Sunday, March 16, 1-3 pm

Volunteers are needed to walk dogs and cuddle with cats at the Animal Rescue League of Pittsburgh’s East End location. A brief orientation will be provided. (Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.)

• Literacy & Basic English Tutoring

Wednesday, March 19, noon-1 pm

The Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council has long waiting lists of foreign language speakers in need of English tutoring as well as adults in need of basic reading tutoring. Volunteers need not have any special training — just a willingness to work one-on-one with either English conversation or basic reading skills. Attend this on-campus information session to determine if you would like to be a part of this ongoing activity.

• WQED Pledge Drive

Saturday, March 22, 2-7 pm

WQED-TV needs volunteers to take pledges.

• PATF Theater Fundraiser

Wednesday, March 26, 5:30-8 pm

The Pittsburgh Public Theater is joining forces with the Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force for this 17th annual fundraiser Downtown. Volunteers are needed to help host a pre-performance cocktail party.
