Public Affairs wins awards

Pitt’s Office of Public Affairs won 11 awards — including seven Gold Awards — in the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District II 2011 accolades awards program.

CASE Gold Awards went to:

• “Newspaper of Record: The Pittsburgh Courier,” in the Community Relations Programs, Projects and Special Events category;

• “Hail to Pitt 2009-10 Institutional Spot,” in the PSAs and Commercial Spots category;

• “Newspaper of Record: The Pittsburgh Courier,” in the Individual Special Public Relations Projects category;

• “Transforming Pittsburgh: The Eds and Meds Story,” in the Specific Media Relations Programs category;

• “Newspaper of Record Program,” in the Visual Design in Print, Single-Page Publications category;

• “Newspaper of Record: The Pittsburgh Courier,” in the Special Events, Individual category.

• Pitt Magazine, in the Staff Writing category.

• CASE Silver Awards went to:

• “Newspaper of Record Invitation,” in the Visual Design in Print, Specialty Items category;

• “A Decade of Challenge (2010 Report of Chancellor Mark A. Nordenberg),” in the Annual or Institutional Reports category;

• Pitt Magazine, “Power in Black and White,” in the Best Article category.

A CASE Bronze Award went to “Newspaper of Record Invitation,” in the Visual Design in Print, Covers category.

In addition, Pitt-Bradford won a Silver Award for “Go Beyond Brand Party,” in the Institutional Identity Programs category.
