U.S. History Lecturer

The University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-stream lectureship in U.S. history, beginning fall 2011. PhD required. Depending upon qualifications, a multi-year contract may be awarded. The successful applicant will teach six courses per year (three each semester). These courses will include U.S. history surveys, upper-level undergraduate courses in the candidate’s area(s) of specialization, and undergraduate writing-intensive seminars.

Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience and ability in teaching all three types of courses. Please send letter of application, CV, course syllabi and teaching evaluations, and three letters of recommendation to:
