Daffodil sale supports cancer society

Employees at Pitt and UPMC Health System are invited to join the effort to fight cancer during the fourth annual fund-raising campaign, Daffodil Days. Each year, the American Cancer Society holds Daffodil Days to help raise money for its education, research and patient service programs.

A $6 donation purchases a bunch of 10 daffodils; for an additional donation, small vases also are available.

The deadline for orders is Feb. 26. For more information, call 647-4232, or 647-6336.

The cancer society fund-raiser is coordinated by the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute (UPCI) Volunteer and Community Services Program.

Last year UPMC employees raised more than $33,000 — the most of any Pittsburgh organization.
