Correction
Provost Patricia E. Beeson said that the decision to suspend graduate admissions in the classics, German and religious studies departments begins a review and discussion among all interested parties concerning the future of the graduate programs and how best to move forward.
The provost did not say that the suspension of admissions was a possible prelude to closing the departments, as was reported in the April 19 issue of the University Times.
