Pet food drive runs through July

Pitt’s second annual pet food drive, a program to help financially strapped area families feed their pets, runs through July.

Pitt’s People for Pets again is partnering with Animal Friends’ Chow Wagon program to provide pet food to area food banks, including the Oakland Food Pantry. The Oakland Food Pantry also provides litter, leashes and pet treats to needy pet owners.

Online monetary donations to the pet food drive can be made by clicking on the University of Pittsburgh Chow Wagon Drive link at Checks payable to Animal Friends should be sent to 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh 15237.
