CGS honors 4 faculty

The College of General Studies (CGS) honored four teachers with Students' Choice Awards at its annual Excellence in CGS reception Feb. 22.

The event is sponsored by the CGS student government and recognizes CGS student scholarship winners and the outstanding student of the year, in addition to honoring faculty members and instructors selected by students.

The 2002 winners are: Nathan Firestone, political science instructor; Ernest Fullerton, Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA) instructor; David Korman, GSPIA adjunct professor, and Cathy Misko, GSPIA instructor.

Chancellor Mark A. Nordenberg, Provost James V. Maher and CGS Dean Susan R. Kinsey addressed the gathering, which is held each year to accommodate nontraditional students who may be unable to attend the University's honors convocation.
