Daffodil sale benefits cancer research, services

Employees at Pitt are invited to join the effort to fight cancer during the fifth annual fund-raising campaign, Daffodil Days.

Daffodils will be sold from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 20 in the William Pitt Union Lower Level 1. A bunch of 10 daffodils costs $6. Cash and checks will be accepted.

The University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute (UPCI) is coordinating the sales as part of the American Cancer Society's 2002 Daffodil Days campaign, which runs March 18-24.

Proceeds from the sales will fund research, prevention, detection, advocacy and patient services in southwest Pennsylvania.
