UPT: Good eats in new dining commons
Pitt-Titusville invited the community to a ribbon-cutting last week for its new dining facility, McKinney Commons.
Construction of the $4.6 million 8,100-square-foot addition (below) to the J. Curtis McKinney Student Union Building took 18 months to complete. The renovations were intended to improve the efficiency of the dining services and to enhance the social and interactive environment of the campus. McKinney Commons includes several food stations featuring a wide variety of menu options that will be available daily, including stone hearth oven pizza, strombolis, fresh breads, made-to-order deli options, flame-broiled grill options, a cook-to-order station, salad bar, soups and desserts.
The new construction will provide multiple-use space to accommodate a variety of campus events and activities.
