Consultant to consider uses for University Club

The University has hired an outside consultant to evaluate potential uses for the University Club, the eight-story building on University Place that Pitt purchased in May.

Eli Shorak, Pitt associate vice chancellor of Business, is Pitt’s liaison to PKF Consulting of Philadephia. Shorak can be contacted at 4-5474; es@pitt.edu.

Chancellor Mark Nordenberg said this week, “At this point the consultant is dealing mainly with those who have the ability to predict or influence events that might be held within the University. So, if a person simply has an idea, that can be communicated to Eli without the need for tying up consulting time. It is instead people who are responsible for programs and for bringing in guest speakers from whom we’re trying to get information so we can better assess what needs might be best met by the University Club.”
