CGS to offer courses at Butler Co. Community College

Beginning this fall, students who have completed an associate’s degree at Butler County Community College will be able to complete a Pitt B.A. in administration of justice, without having to travel to a Pitt campus.

Pitt’s College of General Studies (CGS) will offer five courses on the Butler County Community College campus that will fulfill requirements for the administration of justice degree. The classes also are open to those wishing to pursue other majors at Pitt. Students need to meet Pitt admissions requirements.

“A lot of our community college students live in this area, and many have part-time or full-time jobs,” says Bill Miller, Butler County Community College dean for humanities and social sciences. “This gives them an opportunity to work toward a four-year degree without leaving the community on a daily basis.”
