April 20 SAC assembly to focus on health care

“Taking Care of Your Health Care” is the theme for the Staff Association Council’s (SAC) spring assembly. The assembly is set for 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. April 20 in the William Pitt Union Assembly Room.

Representatives from several Pitt units and various health agencies will be offering advice and making short presentations on their services.

Presenters from Pitt and UPMC will include the Employee Assistance Program, Falk Pharmacy, Student Health Pharmacy, UPMC Care Management Program and UPMC for Life program.

Agency representatives will be on hand from CHIP (Children’s Health Insurance Program)/Highmark, Adult Basic Program, AFLAC, Family Health Clinics, the Allegheny County Area Agency on Aging and Working Hearts, an organization that focuses on public awareness of health risks, prevention activities and funding to address the needs of workplace-age women and men.

WIC (Women, Infants and Children), a supplemental nutrition program, will provide hand-out information at the assembly.

A question-and-answer session will follow the presentations.

Light refreshments will be served.

The spring assembly replaces SAC’s April meeting.
