Brinton memorial service scheduled
A memorial service for Charles C. Brinton Jr., a long-time Pitt microbiology professor who devoted his career to protecting people from bacterial diseases, is scheduled for Dec. 19 at 2 p.m. in the Heinz Memorial Chapel.
Brinton, 71, died Oct. 21 of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, better known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
