Med school HIV project gets grant
The School of Medicine's HIV Early Intervention Project will receive more than $1.5 million over a three-year period from the Health Resources and Services Administration Ryan White Title III Program. The funding will be used to enhance primary care services for HIV-infected individuals who are treated at the Pittsburgh AIDS Center for Treatment (PACT) at UPMC Health System. Funds will also help HIV-infected people without health insurance to gain access to health care.
