Katz alumni group winners named

Robert S. Rosati, president and chief executive officer of Transtar, Inc., has been selected the 1998 Katz Graduate School of Business Distinguished Alumnus.

Rosati has served on the board of directors of Katz's Business Alumni Association and is a member of the school's Partners in Progress steering committee. He has also been a volunteer for the Chancellor's Circle since 1993, serving as national chair since 1995. Rosati holds a B.B.A. from Pitt, 1961, and attended the Graduate Business Program at the University of Minnesota-Duluth from 1976-1979.

The Katz alumni association also recognizes winners of the H.J. Zoffer medal for meritorious service. This year's recipients are Andrew Blair, Katz professor, director of the school's International Business Center and former interim dean; Joan Craig, director of the Katz Career Services Center, and S. Jeffrey Kondis, manager of state government affairs and communications for PPG Industries.

For long-time service to the University and Katz, Regina Dressel Stover, first vice president of Mellon Bank, will receive the school's Distinguished Service Award.
