SAC dedicates bench to University staff

The Staff Association Council (SAC) unveiled a new bench between Posvar Hall and Hillman Library, near Schenley Drive, on Oct. 14 to honor the service of University staff members.

It is the first project undertaken by the SAC Oakland Campus Beautification Fund, created in 2012 on the impetus of then-SAC President Deborah Walker to raise money for small campus improvements.

SAC raised $2,500 for installation of the bench.

At the unveiling, Andy Stephany, SAC vice president of public relations, acknowledged the work of Walker and another past president, Gwen Watkins, as well as current President Rich Colwell and SAC adviser Ronald W. Frisch, associate vice chancellor for Human Resources.
