Katz, GSPIA dean finalists chosen

Search committees for new deans of the Katz Graduate School of Business and the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA) have submitted names of finalists to Provost James Maher.

The four business dean finalists are: James B. Dworkin, associate dean of Purdue University's Krannert Graduate School of Management; Robert Forsythe, associate dean for faculty and development at the University of Iowa; Michael J. Houston, associate dean of faculty at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management; and Dana J. Johnson, dean of the Calloway School of Business and Accountancy at Wake Forest University.

The GSPIA search committee also recommended four finalists. But the committee and the Provost's office would not release the names yesterday, May 8, because the candidates had not yet been notified.

The six semi-finalists were listed in the April 25 University Times.

Provost Maher said he hopes to choose the new deans later this month or in June, and for them to begin work here by the fall term.
