Clinic offers medical advice for travelers

The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's International Travel Clinic, located at 339 Sixth Ave., Downtown, offers consultation and recommendations for disease prevention when traveling abroad.

Travelers should contact the Travel Clinic as soon as they are aware of their travel plans, because immunizations must be administered over time. The center also offers a complete medical evaluation, and will review various precautions that are necessary to prevent everything from yellow fever and typhoid fever, to malaria and hepatitis.
