Cancer screening program offered

As part of its African-American Cancer Program, the Pittsburgh Cancer Institute is offering free cancer screenings at the following locations:

* Rainbow Clinic, 142 Eighth Ave., Homestead, 1-4 p.m., the third Monday of each month.

* Alma Illery Medical Center, 7227 Hamilton Ave., Homewood, 1-4 p.m., the first and third Thursdays of each month.

* McKeesport Health Center, 330 Fifth Ave., McKeesport, 1-4 p.m., the fourth Friday of each month.

Screenings for prostrate, breast, colorectal, ovarian, cervical, skin and oral cancer are available. The screenings are designed to improve patient access to cancer screening and early detection services and to refer individuals for further clinical evaluation. To register, call or 624-1115.
