In the Pittsburgh March for Science April 22, hundreds of local scientists and science supporters stood shoulder to shoulder on Bigelow Boulevard between Fifth and Forbes avenues, listening to speakers and then marching around the Cathedral of Learning block.

The local march was one of an estimated 600 marches and rallies held worldwide to emphasize the importance of science, evidence-based policy and funding for scientific research.
