Clinic summer program opens

Pitt's Speech and Hearing Clinic is currently accepting patients into its summer speech and hearing program. Evaluation and treatment is available for children and adults with speech, language and/or hearing problems. The summer program also includes an aural rehabilitation program to help individuals with hearing loss to make better use of their remaining hearing and/or hearing aids.

The Speech and Hearing Clinic recently was recertified in both speech-language pathology and audiology by the Professional Services Board of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Services at the clinic are provided by graduate student clinicians under the supervision of Ellen Cohn, Davida Fromm, Ellen Estomin, Alan Hawthorne, Robin Metzler, Elaine Mormer and Susan Synder.

The clinic, 1109 Cathedral of Learning, is open by appointment six days a week. It is a nonprofit organization supported in part by the University and fees for services provided. Fee adjustments are available for clients with reduced incomes. To schedule an appointment call 624-6571 or 624-6739.
