Computer Learning Center

Responding to a growing need for hands-on computing instruction, Pitt cut the ribbon Dec. 2 on its newly expanded Computer Learning Center in Suite 1105 Kossman Building, Downtown. Participating in the opening were, from left: Provost James Maher, Chancellor Mark Nordenberg, center director Carla Depperman, and Vice Provost Jack Daniel. A public open house is set for Jan. 9, 9:30 a.m. to noon. The center has more than doubled its number of workstations, and now accommodates 80 students in four classrooms. Last year, employees of more than 550 companies received personal computer software training at the center. The Computer Learning Center is a non-credit program of PittĪ€s College of General Studies.
