Board of Trustees re-elected J.W. Connolly

The Board of Trustees on June 25 re-elected J.W. Connolly for a fifth consecutive one-year term as board chairperson. Trustees also amended the board's bylaws to allow Connolly to serve an additional three years beyond the normal five-year limit.

Connolly said he doesn't necessarily want to remain as chairperson for another three years, but hopes to continue to lead the board beyond next summer as Pitt moves ahead with major construction projects and officially kicks off its capital fundraising campaign.

At last month's meeting, Connolly congratulated retiring trustee Alice Kindling after presenting her with a Trustee Medallion. Kindling served on the board for 27 years.
