Benefit Garden Gala

Saturday, June 24, 5-8 pm or 8 pm-midnight

Help make the 10th annual Sewickley Garden Gala, benefiting the Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force, a success by volunteering to assist with the event’s food service.

Produce to People

Saturday, July 8, 8 am-noon

This program is sponsored by the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and Pitt’s Partnership for Food. Volunteers assist clients of the program with their selection of fresh fruits and vegetables in an indoor East End farmer’s market-type setting.

Global Links Medical Supplies

Thursday, July 20, 5:30-7:30 pm

Volunteers will be working at the Bloomfield offices of Global Links, an international aid organization that collects and repackages surplus medical supplies for distribution to clinics worldwide.

Pittsburgh Blues Festival

Saturday, July 22, 12:30-6 pm or 5:30-10 pm

Sunday, July 23, 12:30-6 pm or 5:30-10 pm

This festival at Hartwood Acres is the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank’s premier fundraiser.

Food Warehouse & Repackaging

Saturday, Aug. 12, 9 am-1 pm

Volunteers are needed to assist at the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank’s main warehouse in Duquesne to help sort and repackage food for distribution to the region’s neediest. This is another project of Pitt’s Partnership for Food.
