University Press offices moving

By the end of October, the University of Pittsburgh Press will vacate its cramped quarters in Ruskin Hall and move into leased office space at 3347 Forbes Ave.

"It's not luxurious by any means but it's clean and it's new and it's a big improvement over our current space," said University Press Director Cynthia Miller.

Currently, University Press staff traveling from the Press's editorial offices to its business offices must exit one area of Ruskin Hall and re-enter another part, Miller said. "It [Ruskin] is just not a very nice location for us, either in terms of the total amount of space or from an organizational point of view," she said.

Pitt's property management office will move into the Press's Ruskin Hall space, according to Miller, who said the Provost's office is paying for the Press's move.
