UPB vice president resigns position
Stan Heckathorn, vice president for Business Affairs at Pitt's Bradford campus (UPB), has resigned his post effective Dec. 31.
Heckathorn is leaving UPB for a management position with a new software company with offices in New Hampshire and California.
"Stan has shepherded the college through tremendous growth and development," said UPB President Richard McDowell. "His financial and organizational leadership, plus his strong personal commitment to Pitt-Bradford, have shaped the college." Heckathorn joined the UPB staff in 1971 as director of operations. He was promoted to director of Business Affairs in 1980 and to vice president of Business Affairs in 1994.
