Oracle now = PRISM

Oracle now = PRISM

By July 1, the University plans to replace three of its outdated financial systems (accounts payable, general ledger and purchasing) with a modern, on-line system called PRISM — Pitt's Real-time Integrated Solutions for Management.

Before this month, the new system was commonly referred to as "Oracle," after the company that produces the system software.

Hands-on training for Pitt personnel who will use PRISM is scheduled to begin in April.

For details on the new system, see advertisement on page 4 of this issue and story in the Dec. 5 issue.
