Pitt recently won 10 Matrix Awards from Women in Communications.

In the Office of Communication/Media Relations:

* University of Pittsburgh Research Review received an honorable mention in the Magapaper Category.

* "Higher Education Review" received an honorable mention in the Radio Talk Show Category.

In the Department of University Relations:

* Law Notes was awarded first place and Pitt Magazine an honorable mention in the Direct Mail Marketing Magazine Category.

* Pitt Magazine's voluntary subscription ad and the 26th annual Pitt jazz concert poster both received honorable mention in the Marketing, Public Relations and Graphic Design Category.

* The School of Engineering's brochure series was awarded first place honors and Pitt Magazine's media kit an honorable mention in the Sales/Marketing Promotion Category.

* Pitt's institutional message received an honorable mention in the Television Public Service Announcement Category.
