Healthy aging classes set

The Center for Healthy Aging at Pitt’s Graduate School of Public Health has teamed up with the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) to provide free health classes for adults age 50 and older.

The “10 Keys to Healthy Aging” classes focus on teaching participants how to reduce preventable age-related risk factors and improve high-quality life expectancy with a focus on preventable diseases and disability.

Classes will begin on the dates and at the locations noted below:

• CCAC North Hills campus, 8701 Perry Highway, beginning Sept. 15.

• CCAC Boyce campus, 595 Beattie Rd, Monroeville, beginning Sept. 18.

• UPMC McKeesport Hospital Kelly Building, 600 Hospital Way, beginning Oct. 4.

• Pitt’s Osher Lifelong Learning Center, 130 N. Bellefield Ave., beginning Oct. 17.

• Natrona Heights YMCA, 5021 Freeport Road, beginning Oct. 30.
