Med school wins award
The School of Medicine has received the Paul R. Wright Award for Excellence in Medical Education from the American Medical Student Association.
The award recognizes a school whose achievements in medical education foster the development of socially responsive physicians. The winner is chosen by the nation’s medical students. Pitt was selected from a national pool of applicants in recognition of its commitment to professionalism in medical education, especially recent efforts to address interaction between industry and faculty, staff and students.
