Events will close Oakland streets, limit parking

According to the Oakland Traffic and Management Association, local events will close some streets and restrict metered parking on or near campus through May 3.

• Bigelow Boulevard will be closed between Fifth and Forbes avenues April 19 to accommodate student transportation to Heinz Field for the annual Blue/Gold football game and concert.

• Metered parking will be restricted April 22 near the Petersen Events Center for the Alicia Keys concert.

• Lothrop Street will be closed in front of Lothrop Hall 7 a.m.-4 p.m. April 24-27 to allow students to move out.

• Metered parking will be prohibited in front of Forbes Hall 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. April 24-27 as students move out.

• Metered parking will be prohibited on Terrace and DeSoto streets and Bigelow Boulevard April 27 for Pitt’s commencement convocation at the Petersen Events Center.

• Meter variance will be enforced May 2 and 3 on Darragh Street for a two-day event at the Petersen Events Center.
