Business clothing drive set for July 9

The Pitt Volunteer Pool is sponsoring a career clothing drive on July 9 to aid efforts of Pennsylvania Women Work, an organization that promotes the economic self-sufficiency of single parents, displaced homemakers and individuals in transition.

The organization is seeking donations of professional clothing for women and men that is appropriate for job interviews and the workplace.

Clothing in all sizes is needed, including two-piece suits, blouses and button shirts, professional skirts, pants and slacks, jackets and blazers, ties and belts. Accessories, such as jewelry and handbags, also are welcome.

Clothing should be cleaned prior to donating. Donations should be brought 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. July 9 to the William Pitt Union lower lounge. Donations are tax deductible; tax receipts will be available.
