Katz recognized as CFA institution

The Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business has been recognized as a CFA Program Partner Institution.

Such recognition signals to potential students, employers and the marketplace that the University’s curriculum is tied closely to professional practice and is well-suited in preparing students to sit for three levels of chartered financial analysts (CFA) examinations.

The CFA program is a self-study, graduate-level program for investment professionals that requires those who are enrolled to pass three levels of exams and commit to a stringent code of ethics, thus certifying them as CFA charterholders. The Katz school offers degree programs that cover at least 70 percent of the CFA program candidate body of knowledge, ethical and professional standards and other requirements of the CFA Institute, a global association for investment professionals.

The CFA program sets a standard for developing the skills, standards, competence and integrity of financial analysts, portfolio managers, investment advisers and other investment professionals worldwide. The program is widely considered the investment profession’s most rigorous credentialing program. Fewer than one in five candidates who begin the program successfully complete it and go on to earn CFA charter, the “gold standard” for investment professionals.
