Sept. 20 is deadline for Senate ballots
Sept. 20 is the deadline for returning ballots in the runoff election for vice president of the University Senate.
Voting in last spring's election for Senate officers resulted in an unprecedented tie in the vice presidential race between incumbent Thomas A. Metzger, of mathematics, and the medical school's Nicholas G. Bircher.
Ballots for the runoff election were mailed last week to all Pittsburgh campus full-time faculty; part-time, tenured and tenure-stream faculty; and administrators, staff and students who serve on Senate Council.
