Corrections

* Wendell Wilkie was the Republican Party's presidential candidate in 1940. The Sept. 12 University Times incorrectly identified him.

* There was some incorrect information in a Sept. 12 story on fees paid by employees who take classes.

Staff and faculty who enroll in classes at Pitt are not charged the $75 safety, security and transportation fee.

Undergraduate student activity fees vary depending on whether an employee enrolls through Arts and Sciences ($18 per term) or in CGS ($15 per term).

In 1997-1998, student activity fees were $12 per term for Arts and Sciences and $15 for CGS.

Undergraduate tuition/fee costs for CGS-enrolled employees have increased 165 percent over five years; for employees enrolled in Arts and Sciences, the increase has been 178 percent.
