2020 Sheth Award winners being honored; nominations open for 2021 prize

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2021 Sheth International Achievement Awards.

The Sheth Distinguished Faculty Award for International Achievement recognizes a current Pitt faculty member’s lifetime contributions to furthering international education.

The Sheth International Young Alumni Achievement Award acknowledges a Pitt alumnus who entered Pitt on a student visa, earned a degree in the last 15 years, and has made contributions to the international community through a professional achievement.

Nominations must be received by April 30, 2021.  

The 2020 Sheth Award winners are being honored this month. Diego Chaves-Gnecco, an associate professor of Pediatrics in the School of Medicine, Carmelo Mesa-Lago,  
professor emeritus of Economics and Latin American Studies, were celebrated as the faculty winners at an online event on April 8.

A virtual ceremony to honor Vyasa Sai, a 2013 graduate of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Swanson School of Engineering, with the young alumni award will be from 1 to 2 p.m. April 22. Register here.
