Pitt’s Alzheimer Disease Research Center is seeking letters of intent for developmental projects that will stimulate new and innovative research relevant to the disease.
Awards will be given of up to $75,000 for direct costs. The funding would start March 1, 2021 and run through Feb. 28, 2022.
Types of research can range from basic science to psychosocial in methodology, with particular attention given to novel approaches. Proposed research may involve humans, other animals or in vitro studies.
A brief description of the proposed developmental project should be e-mailed to Leslie Dunn, center administrator (firstname.lastname@example.org), by Sept. 30. Include title of the proposal, names of investigators/co-investigators, brief description of the project, and a brief statement of relevance of the proposed research to the field.
Those invited to submit a full proposal will be notified by Oct. 7 and must complete the application by Oct. 28.
