Pitt is holding its first “Bike to Campus Day” on Sept. 18 in the bike and pedestrian pass-through between Posvar Hall and Hillman Library, near the giant yellow “Light Up” sculpture.
The event from 8 to 10:30 a.m. will feature free coffee and snacks, along with e-bike test rides.
The Pitt Bike Cave will give lessons on how to fix your bike, and the Bike Cave and Kraynick’s Bike Shop, from Garfield, will have bikes for sale.
Participants can register their bike with the Pitt Police and learn about Pittsburgh’s bike share, Healthy Ride, and other commuting options from CommuteInfo.
Bike Pittsburgh also will have information about upcoming cycling events in the city.
The event is sponsored by Pitt Parking, Transportation & Services.
