Center for Sustainable Business hosting webinar on COVID-19 era logistics

A webinar next week from Pitt’s Center for Sustainable Business will look at “Sustainability in the COVID-19 Era: Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

The ability to adapt supply chains and resolve emerging logistical issues while limiting (or eliminating) negative impacts on society, the environment, and the long-term financial health of the company is a critical component of building a more sustainable business. But, what has this looked like in practice? How are companies adapting their supply chain and operations to respond to the challenges introduced by COVID-19? What lessons can be learned from these adjustments as we look towards building a more sustainable world post-pandemic?

The one-hour moderated discussion will feature leaders in the transportation, building and surface coverings manufacturing, and energy industries: Geoffrey Muessig, PITT OHIO trucking; Dhruv Raina, Tarkett flooring; William Sapon, Peoples Gas, and CB Bhattacharya and Leslie Marshall from the Center for Sustainable Business.

This event is from noon to 1 p.m. June 17 and is free and open to the public. Registration required. Read more on the center’s website.
