Pitt community members looking to help out people in need this holiday season can donate to The Corner in West Oakland, a community center that serves residents of the West Oakland and Oak Hill neighborhoods
The Corner will be doing a community-wide food distribution on Dec. 17 and is looking for holiday cheer to include in baskets. The center will accept physical Amazon and Target gift cards as well as online donations in support of winter clothing and accessories. Donations can be made to The Corner via Paypal.
Funds will go to holiday gifts for neighbors as well as critical social service, arts, educational and social justice programming for West Oakland.
