Find out how Pitt music faculty are ‘Moving Jazz Forward’

Nicole Mitchell Gantt, director of Jazz Studies, and James Johnson Jr., director of the Pitt Gospel Choir, will discuss the work they do at the University and in the community and how their work intersects in an event about “Moving Jazz Forward in Pittsburgh.”

The conversation at noon April 30 will be moderated by John Wallace, vice provost of Faculty Diversity & Development. The program will close out with a musical selection from Gantt, a jazz flutist.

The event will be available on Zoom and also will stream on the Black Pitt Faculty Facebook page.
