Food drives offer several ways to donate

You still have a few days to contribute to Pitt’s Fall Food Drive.

The collection, sponsored by Staff Council and the Office of Community and Governmental Relations, will benefit the Pitt Pantry and the Community Human Services Oakland Community Food Pantry. It runs through Nov. 19.

Non-perishable items being collected include canned soups, tuna and meats, cereal, granola bars, peanut butter, jelly, water, drinks, rice, pasta, candy, oatmeal and toiletries.

Items can be dropped off in the lobbies of Posvar and Craig Halls and the William Pitt Union; on the ground floor of the Cathedral of Learning near the elevators, and on the fourth floor of Scaife Hall near the elevators.

Donations for Citations

During the month of November, the Pitt Parking Office will accept food donations as payment for parking citations issued before Nov. 1. One box of pasta and one jar of sauce or two boxes of cereal will pay off a $15 fine. Bring one jar of peanut butter and one jar of jelly for a $25 fine.

All proceeds benefit the Pitt Pantry. Bring donations to the Parking Office at 127 N. Bellefield Ave. to process payment.
