The Office of Human Resources, which welcomed James Gallaher as its new vice chancellor in December, has announced several staffing changes.
Director of benefits: Melissa Kluchurosky was promoted to the role of director of benefits on May 16. Kluchurosky has worked at Pitt for 15 years in various roles including as an employment specialist and senior recruiter before moving into benefits. She has worked as manager of the health and welfare plans and managed the defined contribution plan, defined benefit plan, and the life and disability plans. As director, she will lead all operational aspects of University Benefits, including directing the activities of the health and welfare benefits, retirement income programs, customer service, wellness programs, basic income protection, life insurance plans, employee discount and voluntary benefits program, tuition benefits, and others. Assistant vice chancellor for University Benefits, John Kozar, is retiring on July 8, after nearly 19 years.
University Child Development Center: Jamie Wincovitch is serving as the director of the University Child Development Center (UCDC), as of June 1. Wincovitch has worked at the University for 23 years in various roles. Since January 2022, Jamie has served as the interim director of UCDC following the departure of Mary Beth McCulloch after 12 years as director. Previously, she served as the education coordinator and as a preschool and kindergarten teacher, both at UCDC.
Director of organization development: Diane Chabal has been promoted to the role of Director of organization development, effective May 16. Chabal has worked at the University since 2016. Most recently, she served as the Manager of Organization Development where she led the team on consulting, training and coaching to the University’s faculty and staff.
Manager of All-Temps: Jared Lanza now serves as the manager of All-Temps, effective May 23. Lanza has worked at the University since 2019, where he previously served as a senior technical recruiter within Talent Acquisition.
