HSLS sponsors open scholarship and research impact challenge

The Health Science Library System, the University Library System, and the Office of Sponsored Programs are sponsoring an open scholarship and research impact challenge from March 28 to  April 8, 2022.

The event, which received funding through the Year of Data and Society, includes a wide range of learning opportunities and activities that provide practical tools to make research more accessible, more reproducible, more connected to the public welfare, and more in line with each researcher’s personal values.

Fill out the registration form to get started. Registering and completing one activity will give you an extra chance at winning a gift card.

The live kickoff workshop, Make Metrics Meaningful, is from 2 to 5 p.m. March 28. This workshop — led by HumetricsHSS, the Humane Metrics Initiative — will explore how researchers can on connect their values to their academic life. A separate registration is required.

You may do all of the activities or choose the ones that are the most relevant to you. They also may be completed in any order. The more activities you submit, the more chances you have to win a gift card.
