Mental health event focuses on ‘Managing Trauma from World Events‘

For the first time since the pandemic started, the Mental Wellness Task Force is resuming its Lunch and Learn Speaker Series, via Zoom.

The first program will be from noon to 12:50 p.m. Feb. 14, with therapist Diana Hortsch talking about “Managing Trauma from World Events.” Follow the registration link to get the Zoom information.

Hortsch has worked for two decades in reproductive and human rights advocacy and is a licensed therapist as well as a lawyer and adjunct faculty member at Brooklyn Law School. In this webinar, she will discuss the different types of trauma we may be experiencing from world events such as war, climate change and economic upheaval, and she how we can manage its effects on our mental and physical health.

The Mental Wellness Task Force is part of the Senate Benefits and Welfare committee.
