A memorial fund honoring Susan Gilbert, the University’s assistant treasurer who died in August after an eight-year battle with cancer, is seeking donations through the engage.pitt.edu website.
The endowed fund, which has a goal of $50,000, was set up by Gilbert’s family and friends. Income from the endowment will be used to support students in the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, where Gilbert earned a master’s degree in public policy and management. She also earned an MBA from the Katz Graduate School of Business.
Gilbert came to Pitt in 2000 as assistant treasurer. Read more about her in a University Times article from August.
