Nursing and business online masters programs ranked in top 25

Online master’s programs in Pitt’s School of Nursing and the Katz Graduate School of Business were ranked in the top 25 nationally by U.S. News & World Report in a report released earlier this month.

Pitt Nursing’s online master of science in nursing program, which has concentrations in nursing informatics and school nursing, ranked 14th out of 186 schools. It is the only school in Pennsylvania ranked in the top 20.

“This distinction highlights our commitment to setting the standard for excellence in nursing education within the state,” said Christine Kasper, dean and professor. “We remain dedicated to providing a transformative learning experience that empowers our students to excel in the dynamic healthcare field.”

The Katz Graduate School of Business ranked 22nd out of 356 schools for its part-time online master’s of business administration program.

The rankings released by U.S. News and World Report are based on data reported through statistical and peer assessment surveys in the following categories: engagement, faculty credentials and training, services and technologies, student excellence, and peer assessment.
